To use PC Charge Payment Server in a Workgroup (network) environment, there are some additional steps you must take:
Install the PC Charge Client and the SSL Certificate on all the workstations that will be processing credit cards (to make this easy, copy the folders: Client and SSL Certificate from the Payment Server CD to the server's \Genstore folder, then copy them to from this folder to the individual workstations)
From the Client folder, double click the setup.exe program, follow the defaults. No further action is needed on the Client install.
Install the SSL Certificate as you did on the server or main station (click here for instructions).
Your server (or main station) must have a static IP address assigned within your network range.
Determine your network range using the IP Config utility
Assign an address within this range and subnet to your server's network card
Enter the static IP of the server on the credit card application maintenance screen
Assign permanent station numbers to your stations using The General Store Set Station Number utility
If all your stations will be processing credit cards, you must adjust the PC Charge Directory entry in the Windows registry (show me)
