Change a Customer Number

You cannot change customer numbers.  There are two methods of assigning customer numbers:

1. Manually

2. Automatically

Before assigning numbers manually, you should give some thought to how your numbering scheme will work.  The General Store provides a powerful customer search function by name, so searching by number is not necessary.

You can enter a customer's information without assigning a number.  When you select to save the data, you will be asked if you want to assign a number automatically.
